The Final Partners’ Meeting of the EIT Climate-KIC programme Young Innovators for the year 2020
On Monday, December 16, took place online the final meeting of the partners of the EIT Climate-KIC programme Young Innovators (YI) for the year 2020. Cyprus is among the participating countries, with representatives of the Cyprus Energy Agency and the Cyprus University of Technology.
Due to the restrictive measures imposed by the new coronavirus, it was impossible for the partners to meet live, however, the program coordinators made sure that it was equally interactive and fruitful for all the participants. The meeting lasted seven (7) hours, combining activities and discussions on the ZOOM and MIRO platforms, where the partners had the opportunity to share their experiences from the implementation of the program this particular year, the lessons they learned and the challenges they faced. These were the foundations of the whole meeting, as they gave the baton for the long-term planning of the program. Among other things, the preliminary statistics of the YI for the year 2020 were presented, as well as applications developed by some of the partners, which could be part of the YI in 2021. The possibility of digitizing the program for a dual implementation opportunity was also discussed, as well as the shift to digital skills among the other learning outcomes of the programme.
